Abstract
These Regulations are framed in exercise of section 42 of the Council of the Animal Health and Livestock Service Professionals Act, 2079. The Regulations outline the procedure for elections, including the formation of the Electoral Committee and the responsibilities of the committee. They detail the process for registration as an animal health and veterinary service professional, including the necessary documents and qualifications required. The procedure for changing the category of registered professionals and the necessary steps to maintain updated records is also provided. They contain requirements for maintaining up-to-date records of registered professionals and the periodic submission of these records to the Council. The standards and criteria for training programs and the recognition of educational qualifications related to veterinary health and services is laid down. The Council may form thematic committees to assist in its operations including Examination, Registration and Records Committee; Expert Committee on Animal Services; Manpower Mobilization and Management Committee; Discipline and Regulation Committee; Financial Management and Accounts Committee; Educational Consultancy and Educational Institutions Regulation Committee; and Committee on International Relations.
