Abstract
These Rules are framed in exercise of the powers conferred by section 33 of the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act, 2029 (1973). Rule 3 requires the government of Nepal to declare the boundaries of the national parks as per section 3 of the Act. Rule 4 provides for entry in the park and Rule 7 lays down the activities prohibited in the park without the permission of the warden. Rule 8 prohibits certain goods from being carried or used in the park such as bow, spear, trophy or meat of any wildlife. Rule 9 prohibits harming the plants or any other goods in the park by setting fires. Rules 10 and 11 prohibit hunting of wildlife or birds, eggs, nests or hives and fishing without obtaining permission. Rules 15 and 16 prohibit producing or throwing of waste, or any pesticides, chemicals, narcotic or poisonous substances within the park or outside. Rule 24 provides for obtaining wood, firewood for making or repairing the house upon payment of fees. Rule 29 lays down the adjudicating powers of the warden.
