Abstract
This Pangolin Conservation Action Plan for Nepal (2018-2022) is a sectoral policy document at the national level. The goal of the Action Plan is set up as: Secure Pangolin populations against emerging threats and recover in the wild.
The major objectives to achieve the goal of the action plan are: 1. Enhance understanding and knowledge on conservation status, ecology and habitat dynamics of pangolin; 2. Curb poaching and control illegal trade of pangolin; 3. Identify and manage the habitat for pangolins conservation; 4. Develop local stewardship for conservation of pangolin.
The Action Plan focuses on enhancing understanding and knowledge on conservation status, ecology and habitat dynamics of pangolins. In addition, the Action Plan focuses on curbing poaching and control illegal trade of pangolin and support to develop local stewardship for pangolin conservation.
