Tharu Commission Act, 2074 (Act 27 of 2017).

This Act makes necessary arrangements relating to the Tharu Commission (Commission) for the identification of the history and culture of the Tharu community, and protection and promotion of their rights and interests. It lays down the criteria for qualifications of the chairperson and members of the Commission. The Act provides for the powers, functions and duties of the Commission. It also contains provisions relating to the operations and governance of the Commission.
