Lands (Amendment) Act 2026 (No.11 of 2026).

This Act amends sections 6A and 15 of the Lands Act by introducing a mechanism for the execution of land instruments, including leases, easements, wayleaves, rights and licences, where at least three-quarters of landowners by number or ownership interest have agreed to the instrument. The Act assigns implementation responsibilities to the Cabinet, the Secretary to the Cabinet and the nominated public officer, and establishes legal procedures to facilitate land administration and the use and development of land resources where ownership fragmentation would otherwise impede transactions.
