Nauru Energy Road Map 2018 to 2020.

The Nauru Energy Road Map (NERM) 2018–2020 is reaffirming Nauru’s goal of a reliable, affordable, secure, and sustainable energy supply. It sets three 2020 targets: continuous (24/7) electricity access with minimal interruptions, 50% renewable energy generation, and a 30% improvement in energy efficiency across sectors. The Road Map outlines coordinated actions across six areas—capacity, power, renewables, efficiency, fuels, and transport—detailing strategies, activities, responsible agencies, and measures such as solar expansion, regulatory development, energy efficiency standards, and fuel and transport planning. It also establishes clear implementation, budgeting, and monitoring frameworks, including performance indicators and annual reporting, while highlighting the role of national institutions and international partners in supporting delivery.
