A Fisheries Officer shall be appointed under Part XXXI of the Niue Act 1966 (sect. 3). The Fisheries Officer shall issue licences pursuant to this Act (sect. 4). Boats shall be licensed before going to sea (sect. 6). Fees shall be determined by the Cabinet (sect. 9, comma 3). Section 10 specifies the equipment required to be on board of each sea-going vessel. The Cabinet may from time to time authorize specific exemptions of this Act (sect. 12).
