Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Amendment Act, 2007.

This Act amends the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act, 1997.
Section 2(1) is amended by repealing some definitions and inserting new ones. Throughout the Act new sections have been inserted as follows: section 4A defining the scheme of the Act; section 7A on unauthorized goods; sections 8 to 8C on prohibition on sale, use, manufacture and import of agricultural compounds, and on exemptions from registration; section 22(3) on terms of registration; section 28 on the approval of operating plans by the Director General; section 30A on suspension of registration; section 33 on compensations; section 35 on certificates of compliance for agricultural compounds; section 57 on revocation of registration or approval; section 64 on powers of entry for inspection; section 65 on the issuance of prohibition notices; section 75 on regulations; section 75A on the setting of specifications and other detailed requirements; section 77A; and sections 81-83 on cost recovery.
Sections 37, 61, 87-122 and Schedule 5 are repealed. Minor amendments have been made to sections 5, 6, 7, 9(1)(b), 15(1), 19, 23-27, 34, 39, 42, 46, 55, 56, 60, 62, 63, 67, 69-71, and 77-80.
