Climate Change Response Amendment Act, 2006.

This Act amends the Climate Change Response Act 2002.
Amendments include the following: minor changes to section 3; insertion of new definitions in section 4; changes to section 7 dealing with directions given by the Minister of Finance to the Registrar regarding accounts and units; minor changes to sections 8, 9 and 10; insertion of new sections 18A to 18E allowing private New Zealand individuals and businesses to hold accounts in the registry and to trade in emission units; insertion of new sections 21A and 21B on electronic registration; minor changes to sections 23 and 24; substitution of section 25 with a new section on corrections of the unit register; minor changes to sections 26 and 27; substitution of sections 28 and 29 with new sections dealing with matters related to the unit register; insertion of new sections 30A to 30D on long-term or temporary certified emission reduction units; minor changes to sections 32, 33 and 35; insertion of a new section 48A on matters related to false or misleading information provided to the Registrar; minor changes to sections 50 and 51.
