Abstract
These Regulations amend the Climate Change (Stationary Energy and Industrial Processes) Regulations 2009.
Amendments include: the insertion of new definitions in regulation 3; insertion of new paragraphs in regulation 4 addressing hydro fluorocarbons and synthetic greenhouse gases; insertion of a new subclause (1A) to regulation 8 on methods for calculating emission from importing coal; word changes and addition of minor provisions to regulations 10, 11 and 16; substitution of paragraph (e) of regulation 24(1) with a new paragraph on methods for calculating emissions from combusting used oil, waste oil, etc.; the insertion of new regulations 44A to 44R; insertion of a new subclause (1) to regulation 47 on methods for calculating emissions in relation to the purchase of coal; substitution of subclause (3) of regulation 49 with a new subclause on collection and recording of information for the purpose of calculating emissions from the purchase of natural gas; substitution of a formula in regulation 50 with a new formula; and changes to Schedules 1 and 2 and the addition of new Schedules 2A and 3.

These Regulations enter into force on 1 January 2010 except for regulations 4, 5, 11 and 18 which enter into force on 1 January 2011.
