Abstract
These Regulations establish 2 safety zones in the Maari oilfield in the offshore Taranaki Basin.
The Regulations prohibit the entry of ships (other than those constructing, repairing, or servicing the installation) into the safety zones, except to secure a ship’s safety in an emergency, to save, or prevent danger to human life or a ship in distress or if the entry is compelled by an event or circumstance beyond the control of a person in charge of a ship.

These Regulations enter into force on 23 May 2008.
