Abstract
This Act amends the principal Act in relation with proceedings for offences. In any proceedings for an offence against this Act, the following certificates or documents shall be admissible in evidence and shall, in the absence of proof to the contrary, be sufficient evidence of the matters stated a certificate purporting to be signed by a Chief Surveyor appointed under the Survey Act 1986, or by the Royal New Zealand Naval Hydrographer, and stating the status of any area; or (ii) Map, plan, or other such document purporting to be certified as true by a Chief Surveyor or by the Royal New Zealand Naval Hydrographer. For “Royal New Zealand Naval Hydrographer” shall be substituted: "chief executive of Land Information New Zealand".
