Abstract
The 1996 Act is amended to make provision for the following matters in relation with dredge oyster fishery in the Foveaux Strait: limits on aggregation of percentage of ownership in oysters; allocation of annual catch entitlement, minimum holdings of annual catch entitlement; conversion factors; disposal of fish by commercial fishers; penalties; Foveaux Strait dredge oyster fishery subject to quota system; quota management area defined; quota allocations. The Fisheries Act 1983 is likewise amended.
