Abstract
This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Ngāti Hine. The area/rohe moana is an area from the Haumi River mouth to Taupiri Bay in the Bay of Islands. Notice is given of the appointment of 4 Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana. The Minister for Primary Industries made the appointments at the request of Ngāti Hine. The powers of Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki are set out in the regulations.
