Abstract
This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti Ranginui, and Ngāti Pūkenga. The area/ rohe moana is an area from Wairakei to Kura-a-Maia in the Bay of Plenty. Notice is given of the cancellation of the appointment of a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana and the appointment of a replacement. The Minister for Primary Industries cancelled the appointment and made the replacement appointment at the request of the Tauranga Moana Iwi Customary Fisheries Trust. The powers of Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki are set out in the regulations.
