Abstract
These Regulations shall apply to persons taking or possessing any fish, other than commercial fishers possessing fish under a permit, within the South-East fishery management area.
These Regulations make provision for the following: maximum daily quotas and minimum sizes for fish; minimum net mesh sizes; areas in which it shall be prohibited to set nets; prohibition to take and possess red coral; areas in which it shall be prohibited to fish; seasonal restrictions; and for offences and penalties.

These Regulations revoke the Fisheries (Chatham Islands Amateur Fishing) Notice 1983.Consolidated version of the Fisheries (South-East Area Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 as last amended by the Fisheries (South-East Area Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2010.
