Abstract
These Regulations provide for the protection, conservation and management of marine mammals.
The Regulations set out procedures and requirements for obtaining permits to carry on commercial operations which shall not cause any adverse effects on and interference with marine mammals. The Director General is responsible for issuing the permits and may also, at any time, suspend or revoke any permit, or restrict the operation authorized by any permit.
The Regulations further prescribe conditions governing commercial operations and behaviour of all persons around any marine mammal. In particular it provides for special conditions applying to whales, dolphins and seals.
