Abstract
This Notice provides for the creation of the West Coast North Island marine mammal sanctuary along part of the west coast of the North Island, and restricts seismic surveys in the sanctuary. The sanctuary includes areas where Hector's dolphins are found.
The Notice includes all the areas of the sea enclosed within the West Coast North Island, a map of the sanctuary and areas in which mining is restricted.
