Abstract
These Regulations regulate the conduct of persons within marine reserves and provide for scientific studies in reserves.
The Regulations permit diving except in areas closed to the public, they regulate anchoring in a reserve and regulate the use of vessels.
The Regulations further provide for: approval to undergo scientific studies in a reserve by the Director-General of Conservation; procedures and requirements for obtaining approval; progress reports to be given to the Director-General; the closure of areas in a reserve for the purpose of scientific study; offences; etc.
Entry into force notes
These Regulations enter into force 28 days after their notification in the Gazette.
Notes
These Regulations repeal the Cape Rodney-Okakari Point Marine Reserve Bylaws 1989 and the Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve Bylaws 1989.
