Abstract
This Order, that includes five articles, updates the schedules of the Trade in Endangered Species Act 1989 (the Act) that list endangered, threatened, and exploited species. The changes align the schedules with changes that have been made to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

Entry into force notes
In force 4 October 2017. Some changes relating to the threatened species of sharks listed in Schedule 2 of the Act come into force on 4 April 2017 or 4 October 2017, depending on when the related changes to the Convention take effect.
