Abstract
These Regulations provide for Waikato-Tainui to manage customary fishing on the Waikato River through the issuing of customary fishing authorizations to fisheries managed under the Fisheries Act 1996.
The Regulations also provide for Waikato-Tainui to recommend to the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture the making of bylaws restricting or prohibiting fishing on the Waikato River of fisheries managed under the Fisheries Act 1996.
