Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Wildlife Act, 1953.
The Regulations provide for: procedures for obtaining a licence to hunt or kill game and requirements for valid licences; forms and classes of licences and the fees to be paid; restrictions on methods of taking game; the licensing of taxidermists and prescribe books, registers and forms to be kept and the particulars to be entered therein; procedures to export animals or birds; restrictions on the use of birdlime; restrictions or prohibitions on the liberation and marking of wildlife; offences and penalties; etc.

Entry into force notes
These Regulations enter into force on 1 April 1955.
Notes
These Regulations repeal the Animals Protection and Game Regulations, 1939 and its amendments and the Birdlime Regulations, 1939.
