Abstract
This Ministerial Decision is composed of 3 articles and attached Regulations. Article 1 sets in force the attached Regulations on discharges of liquid waste to the marine environment.
The attached Regulations are divided into 3 Chapters and 7 Appendices. Chapter 1 provides the definitions used in the provisions of the Regulations. Chapter 2 (arts. 5-16) gives the procedures for the discharge of liquid waste to the marine environment including the cost of licences for carrying out such discharges. The cost of such licenses goes up with the quantity of chemicals discharged. The Appendices contain: a list of measurement types and their limits, e.g. water temperature, boron, cadmium, aluminum, etc.; the standards of oil discharge from the holds of oil tankers; etc.
