Abstract
This Ministerial Decision is issued by the Environmental Protection and Water Resources Council, and is composed of 5 parts.
Part 1 describes the formation of a Council for specifying priority regions for comprehensive procedures of assessment of priority areas to protect wells and aflaj (irrigation channels) from pollution, naming the president and other members.
The Council has jurisdiction over the assessment of these priority areas (Part 2). The assessment for such areas should focus on areas where waters come together and in areas where population density is high. Decisions on priority areas should be supported by clarifying maps.
