Ministerial Decision No.12/2017 amending some provisions of Waste Water Re-uses and Discharge Regulations issued by Ministerial Decision No. 145/93.

This Resolution consisting of 3 articles aims at adding the following definitions to art.1 of the Waste Water Re-uses and Discharge Regulations (1) wastewater produced from industrial, agricultural and commercial activities; (ii) water associated with oil production; (iii) water associated with oil and gas extraction; and (iv) water from desalination plants. The Resolution requires also a permit for the discharge of the aforementioned kind of waters, establishing duration and fees. It finally adds sanctions for who contravenes the provisions.
