Ministerial Decree No. 16 of 2010 issuing the Regulations on environmental requirements for industrial and service activities.

This Decree issues the environmental Regulations related to industrial and service activities. The Regulations define the industrial and service activities that need environmental permits. These activities are allowed only in the industrial areas distant from residential areas, beaches, rivers and natural reserves. The numerical criteria for air pollutant emissions and noise levels shall not exceed the values indicated in the control list of noise pollution in the work environment and in the list of air pollutants emitted from stationary sources. The Regulations list the necessary measures to reach the required environmental standards. The producer of any hazardous and non-hazardous waste is the responsible for any resulting damage. The penalties against the violations of the provisions of these Regulations are the same mentioned in the Law of environmental protection and pollution control.
