Abstract
The Resolution consisting of 8 articles and 5 Annexes aims at regulating the subsidies for fishing. It states that, in the various directorates and departments in the governorates and regions, shall be constituted sub-committees to study the applications and nominate who is entitled to the aid and a main committee shall be established at the Ministry to legislate about. It gives support for the purchase of fishing boats, engines, equipment, tools and devices help in fishing operation for artisanal fishing and coastal fishing. It is possible to receive the benefits for a second time only after 10 years for purchasing a boat, 5 for the engines and 3 years for fishing tools and equipment.
The Resolution also supports the fishing industry, transportation vehicles, fish marketing and aquaculture. Specified criteria identify a priority support order for all kinds of subsidies.
The 5 Annexes indicate the amounts a rates of support for: boats and ships, engines, equipment and tools for artisanal fishery (1); the sector of coastal fishing vessels (2); the sector of fishing industry (3); the sector of transporting vehicles and fish marketing (4); and aquaculture (5);
