Ministerial Resolution 23/2021 issuing the Executive Regulation of the Law of the Practice of Veterinary Medical Professions.

This Resolution consisting of 18 articles divided in IV Chapters aims at regulating the profession of veterinary medicine by establishing that (i) an application to obtain a license to practice the profession of veterinary medicine shall be submitted to the Ministry; (ii) an application to obtain a license to practice the auxiliary veterinary medical shall be also submitted to the Ministry; (iii) a Committee shall be responsible for examining and studying the requests; (iv) the Ministry shall grant licenses to practice veterinary medicine and the auxiliary medical professions after paying the prescribed fees; (v) a register shall be created in the Ministry in which the names of those licensed to practice the profession of veterinary medicine and the auxiliary veterinary medical professions are registered. Article 8 lists the conditions to be met by the licensed to practice the profession of veterinary medicine and the auxiliary veterinary medical professionals working in government health institutions. Article 10 lists the actions allowed to be practiced by a licensee while article 11 regards the actions that can be undertaken by the auxiliary veterinary medical professionist licensed under the supervision and responsibility of the veterinarian. Chapter III deals with the veterinary facilities, including (i) applications and conditions required for their establishment; (ii) veterinary pharmacies and the technical conditions that must be met; (iii) veterinary laboratories and the related technical conditions; (iv) conditions related to equipment; and (v) methods of trading and handling samples.
