Ministerial Resolution No.117 of 2017 regulating fishing in Khor Najd and Khor Habalayn in Khasab District in the Governorate of Musandam.

This Resolution consisting of 6 articles aims at regulating fishing in two specific areas of the Sultanate. It prohibits the use of nets and cages of all kinds and names and any other equipment and fishing tools, except for fishing lines, both in Khor Najd and Khor Habalayn areas and in the coastal villages opposite to the two sites. Some exceptions are provided for permitted anglers of the coastal villages, as mentioned in art.2 if they have obtained a permit indicating the marine sites authorized for the use of fixed position nets. Art.4 gives detailed conditions and measures to use fixed nets.
