Resolution 8/2023 issuing the Water and Treated Water Supply and Wastewater Collection and Transport Services Customers Welfare Regulations.

These Regulations comprising 31 articles organized into VI Chapters, concerning the water or treated water supply service, and wastewater collection and transportation service, deal with (i) the service provider's obligations, including ensuring customer awareness and consent, maintaining non-discriminatory practices, safeguarding customer data, and adhering to regulatory decisions, with the possibility for the authority to exempt some independent water carriers from certain provisions; (ii) handling customer complaints; (iii) procedures for service disconnection, outlining specific conditions under which service can be cut (e.g., non-payment, misuse, unauthorized use, maintenance), and establishing rules for the timing of disconnections and exemptions for vulnerable groups, while also permitting immediate disconnection in cases of safety hazards; (iv) requirements for service bills; (v) administrative penalties for service providers.
