Abstract
This Decree establishes the territorial sea and the Exclusive Economic Zone of Oman.
The Decree is divided into four Parts and eleven articles: Territorial Sea (arts. 1 and 2); Internal Waters (art. 3); Exclusive Economic Zone (arts. 4 and 5); Continental Shelf (arts. 6-11).
Provisions of Part I and II establish a territorial sea of Oman of twelve nautical miles and define internal waters and the baselines of the territorial sea. Provisions of Part III establish an exclusive economic zone of Oman of two hundred nautical miles. Provisions of Part IV vest Oman with the right of exploitation and exploration of the continental shelf.
