Abstract
This Royal Decree is composed of 4 articles and 2 Annexes. Article 1 defines the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Environment and approves its organizational structure in accordance with Annex 1 (attached). Article 2 states that the organizational structure of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Environment is approved in accordance with Annex 2 (attached).
Annex 1 consists of 9 points defining the duties and responsibilities of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Environment, including: implementing the national strategy for environmental protection; implementing provisions of the particular laws of the Regional Municipality and Prevention of Pollution in coordination with the parties concerned; issuing necessary laws and regulations; increasing environmental awareness; insuring a greater environmental security; and research and development. Annex 2 consists of a tree diagram illustrating the organizational structure of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Environment.
