Abstract
This Royal Decree is composed of 5 articles and an attached Law. The provisions of the attached Law of Tourism are in force (art. 1). All engaged in tourist business shall conform to the provisions of this Law within one year from the date of its enforcement (art. 2). The Minister of Commerce and Industry shall issue the necessary executive regulations of this Law. Pending the issuance of such regulations, the existing regulations and decisions shall continue to be effective insofar as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Law (art. 3).
The attached Law of Tourism outlines the aims, duties and responsibilities of the Ministry of Tourism (arts. 1-3). The duties of tourist companies are given in articles 4-7. Articles 8-10 describe the formation and objectives of the National Committee for Tourism. Articles 11-12 focus on the establishment and exploitation of tourist regions and sites. The organization of hotel and tourist establishments is covered in articles 13-17. Articles 18 and 19 provide guidelines for the organization of travel and tourism offices. A Tourism Development Fund is proposed in articles 21-23. Violations and penalties are given in article 25.

Notes
Article 4 of this Royal Decree repeals Royal Decree No. 12 of 1988 and all provisions contravening this law or inconsistent with its provisions.
