Abstract
This Royal Decree is composed of 4 articles and 2 Annexes. Article 1 defines the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources and approves its organizational structure in accordance with Annex 1. Article 2 states that the organizational structure of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources is approved in accordance with Annex 2.
Annex 1 consists of 10 paragraphs defining the duties and responsibilities of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources. These include establishing policies, plans and programs; developing work procedures, gathering data, studies and statistics; ensuring sound urban development; protecting public health, assuring environmental security and pollution control; protecting living organisms and preserving nature; monitoring the development of water resources; safeguarding water resources from depletion; raising awareness and enhancing the concepts of public welfare among all segments of society; and proposing draft laws. Annex 2 consists of a tree diagram illustrating the organizational structure of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources.
