Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 8 articles, aims to establish the Oman Investment Authority, which shall integrate all powers, allocations, rights, obligations, records, assets, and investments related to the State General Reserve Fund, the Oman Investment Fund, and the Directorate General of Investments at the Ministry of Finance. All government companies and investments will now be owned by the Oman Investment Authority instead of the Ministry of Finance. The only exceptions are the Oman Petroleum Development Company, government contributions to international organizations, and any other companies the Sultan specifically designates. Anywhere they appear in laws and royal decrees, the phrases "State General Reserve Fund" and "Oman Investment Fund" will be replaced with "Oman Investment Authority."
