Abstract
This Act makes amendments in the Section 2 of the Principal Act by inserting the definitions of authorization instruments and supplementary approval. It also inserts new sections 69A and 69B regarding the authorization for carrying out specific acts or works (including but not limited to those described under Section 41 of the principal Act) relating or associated with an activity permitted under an authorization instrument by the Director and shielding permit holder from legal liability or prosecution for the associated activity. This Act inserts new sections Sections 87A to Section 87D as regards granting of an Exemption certificate and the issuance of Best Practice Certificate, Certificate of Necessary Consequence and Certificate of Compliance. New Section 87E allows the holder of an Authorization Instrument to apply for the issue of more than one certificate under Sections 87A-87D in respect of one Authorization Instrument.
