Forestry (Amendment No. 2) Act 1996 (No. 27 of 1996).

This Act amends the Section 2 of the Principal Act by inserting the definition of Chairman of the Provincial Forestry Management Committee and repealing the definition of provincial Minister. It also makes amendments as regards the membership of the National Forest Board in Section 10, appointment of alternate members in Section 11, election of Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Board in Section 12, resignment of a member in Section 14. This Act inserts new Section 139A regarding the transfer of all land in Papua New Guinea in the name of the State held by the Department of Forests or the Forest Industries Council to the Papua New Guinea Forest Authority.
