Abstract
This Act amends the Merchant Shipping Act in - section 263ZD by repealing Paragraph (d), and in section 279 in Paragraph (a), by deleting the words and commas", and the fees payable in respect of". It also stipulates that all acts, matters or things done or suffered or deemed to have been done or suffered or taken, or procedural steps taken under or for the purposes of the Principal Act and having effect immediately before the coming into operation of this Act, shall, after that coming into operation, continue in full force and effect until those acts, matters, things or procedural steps are otherwise replaced. Section 263Z concerns the voluntary agreement to pay salvage. Section 279 concerns the power of the Head of State to make Regulations. The amendment of that section concerns Regulations regarding fees.
