Abstract
The Act concerns incentivation and regulation of developmental mining. "Developmental mining" means mining operations that, in the opinion of the Minister, are necessary or desirable for the purpose of determining the size and value of an ore body and the subsequent development of workings to facilitate the economic extraction of ore from it. The Act provides for an agreement between an operator and the Minister which shall contain such covenants, conditions, restrictions and provisions, not inconsistent with this Act, as the Minister requires.
