Abstract
The purpose of this Act is to centralize all government procurements in a more coordinated way to provide fair, competitive, non-discriminatory and transparent procurement systems. This Act lays down provisions on the establishment, function and powers of the National Procurement Commission and the Board; funds of the Commission; appointment, composition and functions of Technical and Financial Evaluation Committees; and the procurement principles, methods and instructions. The National Procurement Commission shall undertake procurements on behalf of the State, including public and statutory bodies.
