Abstract
This Act lays down provisions on the establishment, functions, powers, staff and funds of the National Trade Office; and functions and powers of the Chief Trade Officer. It applies to all trade and related activities and any other matters covered by this Act. Section 6 lists the functions of the National Trade Office, such as ensuring trade compliance with relevant standards and international trade obligations under any treaty or agreement. The Board of the Office may establish an Audit Committee and an Investment Committee. The National Procurement Act applies to all expenditures by the Office.
