Public Health (Amendment) Act 2020 (No. 3 of 2020).

This Act makes amendments in the principal Act. It inserts new Section 1A on compliance with constitutional requirements and Section 11A on the exercise of powers under the principal Act. This Act also updates penalties for the offences of bribery; obstruction; failure to report certain diseases; failure to report by medical practitioners, medical assistants, employers, goevrnment officers and officers in charge of certain institutions; and non-compliance with the provisions relating to advice to schools and households, removal and confinement of infected persons, restrictions on movement of infected persons, recently infected persons, disinfection of conveyances, vacation of infected building, disposal of infected matter, isolation of infected areas, compulsory hospitalization of infected persons, and disobedience of orders.
