Abstract
This Act makes amendments in the principal Act. It inserts the definitions of animals and feral animals in Section 1. Animals are defined as cattle, pigs, sheep, horses, deer, goats and buffalo. This Act amends Section 7 relating to declaration of an area to be a central killing area; Section 9 as regards the slaughter of animals for private owners; Section 18 on control of slaughtering of cattle; Section 19 on emergency slaughter; Section 20 regarding the slaughtering of diseased animals; Section 21 on cessation of work on diseased animals; Section 23 relating to unauthorized slaughthering; Section 27 on inspection of slaugtherhouses; and Section 36 as regards the origin of meat for sale.
