Abstract
This Act establishes the Tourism Promotion Authority and defines its functions and powers.
The Authority shall, among other things: (a) foster the development of tourism in Papua New Guinea and, within the tourism sector, monitor and report the effects of international tourism on Papua New Guinea society, culture and environment; and (b) carry out other functions take into account environmental protection. There shall also be a Tourism Promotion Authority Board, which shall be responsible for the efficient and effective accomplishment of the tourism policy of the government and for the management of the Authority.
