Abstract
This Order applies to the humane and hygienic slaughtering of domesticated rabbit for human consumption, cover the conduct of ante-mortem of rabbits for slaughter and post-mortem inspection of carcasses, and the slaughterhouses with appropriate facilities to process rabbit meat. The text provides regulation for structural design and construction of rabbit slaughterhouse, pre-slaughter handling and restraint, and slaughtering procedure by considering the animal welfare principles. All rabbits for slaughter shall be accompanied with veterinary health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian and carcass and viscera of rabbits shall be presented for post-mortem inspection. Section IX of the text refers to disposition of condemned materials. The text consists of 13 Sections.
