Adoption and Implementation of the Local Agri-Fisheries Machinery Assembly and Manufacturing Industry Roadmap of the Philippines (2022-2036).

The Philippine Department of Agriculture adopted the Local Agri-Fisheries Machinery Assembly and Manufacturing Industry Roadmap (2022-2036) to enhance the competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability of the local agri-fisheries machinery sector. The Roadmap outlines short, medium, and long-term goals focused on strengthening industry partnerships, improving manufacturing quality and capabilities, expanding domestic and export markets, and developing greener technologies. It mandates full support and funding allocation from all relevant government units, establishes a technical working group led by the Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (BAFE) for oversight, and requires regional promotion and adoption through Local Government Units, aiming to implement key provisions of the Agricultural and Fisheries Mechanization Law of 2013.
