Commission Resolution No. 2024-003 Resolution Adopting the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and Its Priority Sectoral Adaptation Strategies, Recognizing Its Development Process Under a Whole-of-Nation Approach, and Creating the NAP Steering Committee Toward Its Effective Implementation.

The National Adaptation Plan (NAP) is established to enhance climate resilience and integrate adaptation into policies and programs at all governance levels, including public-private partnerships. It will evolve through ongoing analyses and feedback, incorporating specific geographical and sectoral contexts. The NAP will be disseminated to government agencies, local units, and non-state actors for guidance in planning, with development partners aligning their efforts with the Philippines' goals. Government agencies must mainstream and budget for NAP strategies, supported by a results-based Monitoring and Evaluation system managed by the Climate Change Commission (CCC) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), which will also seek international funding.
