Abstract
This Administrative Order provides guidelines for the protection and conservation of all exotic species that have been introduced in the country by whatever means, which are subject to trade, are maintained or bred in captivity or propagated in the country.
The Administrative Order provides for the establishment of a Regional Wildlife Management Committee. It further sets out requirements and procedures for: the issuance of an Affidavit of Undertaking or a Memorandum of Agreement and of a Gratuitous Permit for the conduct of scientific researches and for conservation breeding or propagation activities; the issuance of Wildlife Farm Permits, Wildlife Collector’s Permits and Wildlife Special Use Permits for the commercial breeding or propagation of wildlife; and the issuance of Local Transport Permits for the transportation of wildlife, by-products and derivatives; and issuance of CITES and non-CITES Export/Re-export/Import Permits.
Furthermore, the Administrative Order provides for: permit fees and charges; establishment of a Wildlife Management Fund; deputization of Wildlife Enforcement Officers; etc.
