Abstract
This Order provides for establishing and operationalizing the Satellite Land Monitoring System and producing activity data on forestland use and land-use change, adopting the Forest Resources Assessment (FRA) as the National Forest Inventory of the Philippines, enabling the Department to publish National Greenhouse Gas Inventories for the forestry sector, developing a Forest Information System where all verified data on Philippine forestlands are published and enabling the Department to produce data relevant to the generation and submission of the Biennial Update Reports. This Order shall apply to the establishment, operationalization, and maintenance of a NFMS for the implementation of plans, programs, and activities using the REDD+ strategy. The Order further provides for functions of the NFMS, its components and fund allocation. The text consists of 14 Articles.
