DENR Administrative Order No. 2026-20: Updated National List of Threatened Philippine Plants and Their Categories.

This Administrative Order updates the national list and classification of threatened Philippine plant species and establishes corresponding conservation and regulatory measures to ensure their protection and sustainable use. It defines threat categories based on recognised criteria and prescribes actions such as habitat conservation, restoration use, research and monitoring, while regulating collection and trade through a permit system aligned with CITES classifications. The Order assigns implementation responsibilities to relevant DENR agencies and partners, mandates periodic review and monitoring of listed species, and enforces penalties for violations, thereby strengthening national biodiversity conservation in line with domestic law and international commitments.
